Plan your visit

Although our Sunday services can be viewed online, the best experience is always in person. We would love to welcome you for a visit! Dress how you feel comfortable, and bring yourself or your whole family.

Directions

Frenchtown Church’s building is easily accessible from Rte. 4 and Rte. 2 in just a couple of minutes. It is a straight shot west down Frenchtown Road, just past the 4-way intersection of Frenchtown Road and Tillinghast Road.

Frenchtown Church has plenty of parking in the front, along the side, and around back.

Entrances

If you have trouble with stairs, feel free to make use of our ramps. Otherwise, if it is your first time visiting us, we recommend using the set of doors at the front under the steeple. Anyone inside will be happy to answer questions and point out where things are.

Sunday School

Adults meet upstairs in the sanctuary. There is a nursery downstairs for the youngest children. Also downstairs are the classes for elementary school children and junior/senior high youth. Our building is simple to navigate, but we would be more than happy to help you find the right rooms. The classes aim at being age-appropriate and interactive. All ages work through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, but it is easy to jump in at any time.

Worship

The worship service takes place in our sanctuary. Our sanctuary is temperature-controlled and has padded chairs. Nursery, coffee, water, and snacks are available throughout the whole service.

The first half of the service is suitable even for young children. We sing contemporary music with a band and a couple of traditional hymns with a piano. We read a passage of Scripture together, and we pray. At some point in the first half, the children are invited to the front for a brief chat geared for them.

At the halfway mark, we take a short break. Children can go downstairs for children’s church. People can grab snacks and coffee and stop in at the restrooms (one upstairs and two downstairs).

After the break, the younger children enjoy a Bible lesson and other activities in children’s church. The rest of us stay upstairs in the sanctuary for the sermon. The sermon will be an examination of what the Bible teaches in a particular section or on a particular topic. We want the sermon to make us think, to help us understand the world, to encourage us, and to challenge us to live differently.

After the sermon, parents can pick up their children from children’s church. We like to hang around afterwards for a while, talking and finishing off some of the snacks.
